Surge in 'Digital Dementia'

You knew it was coming: a study is finally out showing how bad constant exposure to electronic devices can be. The "most-connected country" in the world -- South Korea -- has been the subject of a study on "Digital Dementia". Just as with any other tool available to us we can become dependent on it and less capable of functioning without it.

  1. Finally a study! I noted a young male driving when connected just today. No need for lines in the road to guide him he was fixed mentally on reading something on the cell phone and crossed over lines and almost forced someone off the road. I guess we can do two things at once if we accept no the done poorly and in this case endangering others lives. "Digital Dementia" sounds important and unsafe!

  2. That is definitely a problem. The authors of the study were also making the point that we are gradually losing our reasoning ability, as well.

    Thanks for your response!
